Intercultural Management – How Managers Succeed in China

This interactive seminar will highlight the key findings from a research study that aimed to identify the keys to success among expatriate leaders in China. Afterwards, the speaker will share some of the lessons learned on the way. As an example, the study identifies some common misconceptions of managing in China today. It also shows the biggest cultural challenges Western expatriates are facing and provides a step by step explanation how successful managers overcome these.

Subsequently, the speaker will illustrate some of the motivating factors of Chinese employees in China. The program will further involve participants in an exercise to identify where some Chinese and Western core values conflict and discuss what happens as a result.

Following the presentation the speaker will be available to answer any questions you might have.
